Our Sustainability Promise
Being a leader in sustainability is core to Lemon Perfect’s mission. We believe every small action counts in the global effort towards creating a more sustainable world, and we are committed to producing a bottled water that is better for the planet.
Plastic Neutral Product
Currently, 91% of plastic waste is not recycled, leading to 3 billion people worldwide that lack access to controlled waste disposal. Lemon Perfect is proud to be certified plastic neutral, meaning that for every bottle of Lemon Perfect sold, we fund the removal of the one-bottle equivalent of plastic waste from the environment, reducing our plastic footprint to net zero.
We are committed to aiding in the removal of a minimum of 3.5 million pounds of plastic waste globally by the end of 2023. We’ve partnered with the industry leaders at rePurpose Global to help us meet our bold goals. Through this partnership, we will finance the recovery of verified nature and ocean-bound plastic waste.
Our contribution will directly remove and recover plastic waste from regions across India, including the districts of Udupi, Hyderabad, and Aurangabad. We will aid in the collection and ethical processing of low-value plastic waste that would otherwise be dumped in overflowing and hazardous landfills or water sources. We plan to help remove 1,600 metric tons of plastic from India by the end of 2023. While being certified Plastic Neutral is an important step toward producing a bottled water that is better for the planet, it is not the only step.
A More Sustainable Future
“Being a leader in sustainability is core to Lemon Perfect’s mission. Whether through our net-zero plastic footprint arising from our exciting partnership with rePurpose Global, a carbon neutral product, or our pledge that all of our bottles will be made from 100% recycled plastic by 2026, we are committed to producing a bottled water that is better for the planet.”
